Blast from the past: an open letter

Filed under: Alameda — Lauren Do @ 6:02 am

This is the letter that, I think, based on context that was posted in the Alameda Times Star earlier and caused a huge brouhaha in Alameda. Someone around during that time let me know. This is, of course, still 1965. I don’t think this was a common sentiment at that time, as we’ve seen from past letters posted here, and there was a belief back then as there is still now that you just need to “work harder” to overcome systemic inequities.
