Gold Coast HOA

The SB 9 discussion last night was largely fruitless and useless because, honestly, there are so few parcels where the most freak-out worthy scenarios can happen that so many people put so much effort and mental energy into situations that are probably not going to happen. Case in point:

According to staff the sequencing would have to be perfectly precise to get to the 7 units and above scenarios.

And honestly, if people really wanted to make sure their neighbors couldn’t use SB 9 to build more housing units, there is one easy solution:

Anyway, Council sent staff back to do more work on the ordinance and come back to the City Council.

  1. Another lead balloon….No one in Alameda has submitted an application under SB9 and no one has even made an inquiry to the planning department about SB9 according to Planning Director Thomas.

    Reason: too impractical/expensive

Hey, how about that new Assembly Bill converting public golf courses for low cost public housing? Try arguing that before the City Council.
