2021 can’t come soon enough

That’s it for me this year folks. And as today is Festivus add your grievances here. Feats of strength are scheduled in after lunch.

  1. I have a friend that owns a restaurant in Alameda. He went to the Oakland Airport to pick up his mom, and discovered that all the bars and restaurants on the food concourse are open there, for dine-in dining. What’s wrong with this picture?

    • Only guessing, but if airports are federally regulated property, perhaps a state or county order doesn’t apply?

      • Probably so. Still sucks. Still sticks a knife in the back of local business owners.

      • There’s nothing wrong with it. The shutdowns of restaurants lack scientific proof.

        • Are you saying there’s no proof that transmission of the virus happens the most in indoor settings where people congregate for long periods of time with their masks down? Especially in noisy places where you have to talk louder over the crowd noise? CDC has classified indoor dining in the “higher risk” and “highest risk” categories. I would love to meet you one day, to see if you look as dumb as you sound.

        • Haha- keep following the ever changing “orders” while being stripped of your rights. My advice is for you to stay inside an extra month after they lift the lockdown -you know, just to be sure…

NEW: Governor Newsom says it’s “likely” that stay at home orders for our Southern California region will be extended further now that the first 3 week order is almost expired.
Not many people have been following the order, and local Sheriffs are not enforcing it.

        • Ignorant comments like yours are why so many people have gotten sick with this thing. Grow up.

        • I didn’t read your other comments comparing lockdown measures as “Authoritarian”. Do you realize how fucking stupid that sounds? Asking people to slow the spread of a virus that has cost the lives of over 350,000 people? Lemme let you in on something: The only form of “Authoritarian” behaviour I see these days is that piece of shit, soon to be ex president who literally is trying to bribe state leaders into making up fake votes to somehow get him to win.

  2. Dave, I just tried Eagle Rare, I really like it, what’s your opinion.?

    Comment by Bidenismypresident — December 27, 2020 @ 11:09 am

    • I like it as well. In particular I find it good for hot weather or maybe while working in a hot kitchen.

Fun fact: it’s the same whiskey as Buffalo Trace, just aged longer.

      Comment by dave — December 27, 2020 @ 8:42 pm

      • yes, it was recommended when I was buying my Buffalo Trace. This seems to be the type of Whiskey I like, anymore suggestions.?

        Comment by Bidenismypresident — December 27, 2020 @ 10:05 pm

        • Try some of the other brands from Buffalo Trace. The bad news is they are much more spendy and some are almost impossible to find.

For example, Elmer T. Lee was a 5 o’clock staple of mine for many years, easy to find and never over $25. Now it’s a unicorn and over $100 if you see it at all.
