Filed under: Alameda — Lauren Do @ 6:06 am

That’s it for this year folks.  There’s a two City Council meetings coming up this week but it’s mostly clean up work before the holidays.

See you next year!

  3. Happy Holidays Lauren! Thank you for your wonderful blog and for giving us the opportunity to share our views on the many local and national issues. Looking forward to many more years!

And here’s an early Christmas present for those of us who have been anxiously waiting for the construction start of the Del Monte Warehouse project. It’s finally started!

I’d like to wish all of my friends–and even my many enemies–a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

What a convenient mistake: @BarackObama issued a statement for Kwanza but failed to issue one for Christmas.

What a shock! The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree pays homage @BarackObama but failed to mention Jesus.

Now there’s someone who knows what to say to Santa right before XMas. Thank goodness pledges of “undying support”, homage, or recognition of feudal obligations have not become a thing around here

  6. What’s the point of city council meetings in a city with a thoroughly corrupt and worthless city government run by scumbag out-of-towners who use the taxpayers as cattle to fund their retirements, and a complicit populace of mostly clueless, toxic boot-licking lemmings? What “progress” do you ever hope to achieve here? You think anything is going to ever get better in Alameda? This is a delusion I too once held. Now that I’ve finally accepted the futility of attempting to better this community in the face of heavy resistance from corrupt, overpaid city officials and fools who shouldn’t be allowed to vote, I know now that the only thing that will save Alameda is a meteor strike. Sorry if my comment offends anyone, but Alameda is a dump. I grew up in San Francisco, and I hated it (just as I do all big cities in general), but now I hate Alameda even more. I pray every day for an opportunity to find a decent paying job outside the bay area, when I can finally get out of this awful place. It’s absolutely sickening to have to live and pay taxes in a city that couldn’t care less about me, that treats me like a piece of trash on the ground, and uses my tax dollars to pay for some a-hole’s mini-mansion in Danville. To hell with this place and anyone that supports it. This is an evil city that should be demolished and replaced with a national park, just like Oakland, San Francisco and the rest of the metropolitan bay area

        • I guess being a notorious reddit troll didn’t pan out so now he’s going to mess with local blogs. This will not end well.

It’s nice they have opinions about communism now, because once you’re living in it you don’t get to have an opinion about it anymore.
