National Horror Story: nothing matters to Trump-world

  1. There is an episode from the Sopranos where they decide that Tony won’t do deals directly anymore, in case someone wearing a wire might catch him saying “quid pro quo”, and instead everything would be negotiated by one of his henchmen.

  2. “We now know that the President committed the crime of bribery.”

  3. A day later, I am sort of annoyed that Intelligence Committee Members seem to have such a problem with titles to address the witnesses. Deputy Assistant Secretary Laura Cooper was addressed variously as Madame, Miss Cooper, even Mr. Cooper once, while Undersecretary of State David Hale was addressed as Undersecretary or often Ambassador. Since the witnesses are known in advance and are for the most part pretty high level people in State and Defense, it would be nice if the committee would get their staff to look up the way they are supposed to be addressed. If I were Laura Cooper, I would be peeved.
