Fact based education

This is why you don’t read Twitter responses.  In response to news that two years of community college will be free for first-time and full-time college students a bunch of angry parents who don’t vaccinate their children for reasons that don’t involve science or medical knowledge decided to chime in.

There was a lot about giving their kids a “shot” at school or calling their kids “medically fragile” probably in response to legislation seeking to tighten the medical exemption loophole that exists.

If you’re interested in seeing the vaccination exemptions at your child’s school, head over here.  A quick run through of all of Alameda’s elementary schools show excellent opt-in rates.

Oh, but back to the Community College thing.  What a great plan and it looks like the College of Alameda has smartly expanded prior to this news which should bring a lot more students to its doors.
