Failure to launch

Filed under: Alameda — Lauren Do @ 6:07 am

I have a lot of hobbies that I just don’t have time to do as much as I would like.  Like crafting.  Or baking.  Or sleeping.

And there are some people’s hobbies which should be redirected into something more positive in life.  Like this dude.  Whose hobbies appear to be petty political vendettas against people with differing politics than his.

Recall he was the candidate who ran against Rob Bonta and lost handily.   Recall he was also the candidate who mused about Rob Bonta’s citizenship during the election.

But his latest hobby appears to be starting recall campaigns which fizzle out spectacularly.  According to the EB Citizen he’s served Councilmember Jim Oddie four separate time with recall papers.  And he’s served Councilmember Malia Vella three times.

But rather than blame his inability to secure enough signatures he gives this truly gross  excuse as to why the recall effort against Malia Vella failed:

Vella’s pregnancy earlier this year, also made for poor optics, said Slauson. “We didn’t want to cause a miscarriage,” Vella gave birth in late May.

Tough look.

  1. I was going to compare him to the Washington Generals, but I think they have a better record. I don’t know, but assume that R.B., M.V. and J.O. are not too worried about have having a nutty, birther opponent. He may cause their recycle bins to temporarily overflow now and then with his papers, but other than that….

  2. Especially since Vella and Oddie are two of our finest and most upstanding politicians with not even a whiff of controversy (sarc). The nerve of that Grand Jury!
