I will follow you

Filed under: Alameda — Lauren Do @ 6:01 am

Quick post today, still trying to catch up with life in general after being away.

Just in case anyone was unclear about the types of Alamedans that Trish Spencer is appointing to the Planning Board, here’s the Twitter account of one of her most recent appointees.  He’s been signed up to Twitter since October 2015, but has only retweeted one thing (actually only tweeted one thing since he first opened his account):

Your eyes do not deceive you people, yes, that is a Bill O’Reilly tweet.

And the list of people he is following is pretty interesting:

The ones that have the blue highlighted “following” are people that I follow in common with this twitter user.  Jim Oddie is a recent follow, perhaps to balance out the not one but two Donald Trump accounts and a Carly Fiorina one.

  1. 1. Off with his head for visiting and retweeting banned websites (….this whole Twitter thing….). Another deplorable.
    2. Thanks for the reminder about the Clinton campaign. Flawed as a candidate for reasons some of her own making and some totally bogus ones. She still should have won, despite the emails and the FBI, and not winning is ultimately on her. Apparently, she has a book out there called What Happened. Would like to have some kind of apology or explanation from her for why she let Trump into the White House that didn’t start with James Comey or emails. Probably would have done the country and Dem party some good. Now, it’s the Republicans who are finally, in extraordinarily small ways, applying some breaks to Trump. I haven’t read her book so can’t say. She was supposed to win anyway, despite all that. I watched some of her Benghazi hearings (that is what true witch hunt looks like, btw). She completely held her own during the parts I watched. A gifted person. Someone who should have run circles around Trump.

  2. The City Council in Alameda will consider establishing regulations for marijuana dispensaries and for the commercial cultivation of the plant …

    Looks like they’re already dispensing

  3. I thought “Everyone is welcome” in Alameda? They forgot to add …”only if you think like us”… Just another day on the Big Island. Sigh.

    • “Everyone is welcome in Alameda….except conservatives, Republicans, fans of Mayor Spencer”…You know, Alameda is just THE most tolerant city in the East Bay…

    • Yep when Calexits we’ll be right behind with an Alaxit from Calexit. So that would make whomever is the current mayor a President or Emperor or Headcheese and the Council the Greek Chorus.

  4. Assumes facts not in evidence and cognitive privilege. Innuendo rhymes with . . .

  5. There is a big difference between saying someone with regressive political leanings is welcome in Alameda and thinking they should be setting the policy direction of the city.
